Eva Learns French!
-Posted by: Jen
Eva Longoria has vowed to learn French by the end of the year.
The Desperate Housewives star wants to be able to converse with her basketball husband Tony Parker in his native language.
She said, “I’ve sworn to myself that I’m going to be able to speak passable French this year. I should be working on it right now, to tell you the truth, but I’m having fun being relaxed and laid-back and I don’t want to get stressed out. But at some point this year, I’m going to take serious French lessons because I want to be able to understand Tony when he speaks French with his family and friends. Even though Tony always translates for me, I feel a bit isolated from his family and I want to overcome that and feel closer to them by learning the language.”
Eva also said she wants her children to be trilingual – fluent in French, Spanish and English. She added, “Tony and I want to make sure that our children grow up both in America and in France and that they will be trilingual. Tony will speak to our kids in French and I will teach them Spanish and of course, we would also both speak to them in English.”

MTV Asia reports, Over Her Dead Body is the new romantic comedy starring Eva Longoria Parker as a woman who dies tragically on her wedding day. Her ghost returns to sabotage her former fiancé's new relationship with a psychic. Eva told us she was immediately on board to take the role. "When I read the script, I thought how fun to play a ghost, 'cause she is kind of… anything's possible. I get to float and levitate and make noises and in movies I feel like you have to have those extreme circumstances too… especially in a comedy. You know if you're gonna go for it… go for it." Longoria Parker added she really got into her character. "I thought it was necessary to go there and make it real for me… playing a ghost. Longoria Parker denies quitting TV for movies
-Posted by: Jen
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker has refuted reports she is to quit the hit TV show in a bid to pursue her burgeoning movie career.
The 33-year-old has made several high profile films since shooting to fame on the drama series - including Harsh Times with Christian Bale in 2007 and this year's Over My Dead Body. But Longoria Parker is quick to dismiss rumours she is to leave Desperate Housewives to become a full-time Hollywood star.
She tells magazine Heat, "I would be insane to do that. I'm of the opinion that the show will still be running for another five years, at least. Marc Cherry (creator) has all these incredible ideas and plot twists planned for the coming years, and I'm convinced the show will be a success as long as he's involved."

Longoria Parker blames Beckham for pregnancy rumours
-Posted by: Jen
Yahoo! News reports Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker has blamed Victoria Beckham for putting her at the centre of a recent flurry of pregnancy rumours. The actress was last month forced to deny reports she is expecting her first child with her basketball star husband Tony Parker after she was spotted with a suspicious-looking swollen belly.
But Longoria Parker blames the rumours on a pair of jeans given to her by the Spice Girls singer from her dVb fashion range.
She says, "Victoria gave me a couple of pairs and I love them. They were so tight, my gut was hanging over the top before dinner.
"Then, we came out of the restaurant and I was totally bloated. And now, apparently I have a baby bump!"

Happy Early Birthday, Eva!
-Posted by: Jen
Eva Longoria-Parker started celebrating her birthday early, according to PageSix. The Desperate Housewives star, who turns 33 on the March 15, started her day out yesterday by getting her hair and makeup done at her pal Ken Paves' salon in Beverly Hills. Eva then had an early birthday party at her Latin-themed Hollywood restaurant, Beso. Although hubby Tony Parker wasn’t in attendance (he was busy with his San Antonio Spurs playing the New Orleans Hornets), there was no shortage of star power. Desperate Housewives co-star Marcia Cross, Ugly Betty star America Ferrara, Sheryl Crow, and BFF Mario Lopez all showed up to ring in Eva’s birthday.
And the stars came bearing gifts, although tight-lipped Mario would only reveal “I got her a Ssss…” but started laughing and wouldn’t say what it was, only to leave us guessing what the S he could have brought for his pal!

The Thursday night Hollywood bash held a special significance for Desperate Housewives cast members Nicolette Sheridan and Felicity Huffman, though, as it was the unveiling of their pal Eva Longoria's new eaterie.
"I'm a little nervous," admitted the actress before the launch of the restaurant, Beso - Spanish for 'kiss'. "But at least I don't have to cook!"
Though she may not be helping out in the kitchen on the first night, there was no sitting on the sidelines for Eva in any other aspect of the project. She was instrumental in the interior design of the venue - coming up with idea for the etched Spanish poetry at the entrance - including a poem by her sister, and picked out the three chandeliers that hang from the ceilings. ...
